ARB WIND are recruiting for Statutory Inspection Technicians to carry out the day-to-day inspections for all of our onshore wind clients across the UK and Ireland. Positions for both team leads and trainee technicians available with competitive salary and training packages.

The Statutory Inspection Technician will be responsible for the following:

• Carry out regular statutory inspections under UK legislation and regulations including LOLER, PUWER, PSSR and WAHR
• Communicate effectively with equipment owners, operators, and management regarding inspection results, compliance issues, and recommended actions
• Preform inspections and testing on equipment such as service lifts, davit cranes, chain hoists, anchor points, fall arrest systems, tower ladders, accumulators, lifting accessories and PPE
• Carry out maintenance and installation on fall arrest systems, service lifts and chain hoists as part of a team working independently from the inspector
• Complete technically concise reports on inspection findings in a timely manner
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to lifting equipment and operations
• Coordinate findings, spares and consumables with the project coordinator and inspection manager
• Ensure inspections are conducted independently and impartially
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders
• Work closely with duty holders ensuring inspections are completed to schedule

Requirements

  • Engineering qualification to HNC level

  • Previous experience in the wind industry, with a focus on LOLER inspections

  • Strong technical knowledge of wind turbines and lifting equipment

  • Experience managing LOLER inspections and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge of UK regulations and other relevant standards

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed with flexible hours
