About the Role

The Technical Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing technical expertise to support our wind energy projects.

The Technical Manager will be responsible for the following activities:

• Manage all aspects of inspections for our wind energy projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution
• Manage and maintain ISO 17020 management system
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Develop and maintain inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists
• Conduct technical reviews of inspection reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of inspections and implementation of corrective actions
• Manage the inspection database and ensure accurate and up-to-date record keeping
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams as needed
• Participate in continuous process improvement efforts
• Carry out regular technical audits to ensure continuous development of surveyors, including detailed training plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

  • 5-7 years of experience in the wind industry, with a focus on LOLER inspections

  • Strong technical knowledge of wind turbines and lifting equipment

  • Experience managing LOLER inspections and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge of UK regulations and other relevant standards

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
